Vinyl Wrap Question

I posted this same question in the customization area, but maybe a post here might yield an answer.

Hey Guys and Gals,

Has anyone found a good color match vinyl wrap for the traditional rosso/red color of the Gen 1 F4? I ordered a couple 3m samples, but don't feel like they are a good enough match. I picked up some carbon fairings from a fellow member, and want to integrate a simple graphic with my front fairing. Any direction would be appreciated.

Chris

you should try a few local sign shops and take a piece of bodywork with you

My suppliers all provide a swatch book, so you can compare etc. It's unlikely you will get an exact match and the weathering of vinyl can be a factor. As @number2 said you probably will have to walk around with a sample, alternatively they can digitally print a near match for you.

Thanks for the reply guys. I did order a bunch of samples, but nothing is quite close enough, and i tend to be overly picky.

The weathering of the paint will also be a factor. There are decal shops that match oem colors so you might want to try matching your likely faded red fairing to a new car color and sending off that code. Some 1st gen F4's look more orange, some darker red, some lighter.
