Indicator issue. Only work with ignition

I have just installed the LED Rizmola indicator mirrors with the resistors as per instruction manual, and tested with ignition on and all good.

Took for a ride today and the indicator light on dash doesnt work and nor do the indicators (all 4). Any advice? Doing my head in!

Have you checked the fuse?

BTW, I also tried resistors at first and found the resistors get very hot (leaving a burn mark where I mounted them). I've switched to a Badlands load balancer, and everything works perfectly (no heat).

Cant be a fuse as they work when engine not running. Im guessing it something to do with voltage. I will check out a Badlands Load Balancer. What part number did you get?

I got the Badlands Equalizer III (LE-03). I took (switched) power from the tail light to install it.

I'm planning on swapping out my indicators soon on my 2017 Brutale 800... Where did you get this load equalizer? I'd rather use something like that then the resistors...

I got them from a local motorcycle shop (they are targeted at Harleys directly, so I reckon a Harley dealer is your best bet). I've seen them on ebay and other places as well. I think you can also get them direct from the manufacturer 'NAMZ' motorcycle products, just google them.

Cheers. I have the load resistors as per Rizmola instructions and they dont work, a load equaliser is just resistors in a box isnt it?

perhaps have a look at what ground wire you've used - possibly once the bike is running, your 'ground' is actually a 12V supply (quite common in some lighting circuits)

FWIW - I installed these mirrors and just used the basic Rizoma resistors - all works just fine.

Take a chance while you still got the choice.
