I'm curious to know more about the fuel scheme ( load based or pressure based ) and the knock control strategies ( if they even have a knock sensor )

What have you seen in the F4 maps regarding this ?

bringing back an old post... has any of this been updated? I have a lot to do with tuning cars/racing and am not sure what system is employed by the bike. One thing that strikes me is bike tech including the ECU's is far behind cars...

Theres a bit more info here on what's in the eldor ecu

http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/21-per...es-update.html

Recent additions pit lane limiter and radiator fan turn on temperature. Bluetooth logging in development.

Clearly these are the basic tables, there are obviously alot of strategies under the skin of the ecu that these tables are referenced by that ECUStudio does not give you acess too, e.g the TC strategy. That said I'm sort of glad, for me there's sufficent control over the eldor ecu for just about anything I'd need. If you want more then I guess you'd need to go to a motec or another ecu and develop from scratch.

Was there anything particular you had in mind or just the academic query?

At this stage it's more academic. I'd love to crack open my bike ecu at some stage (figuratively not literally) and have a poke around. Even just checking fuel and ignition timing etc

It is a shame that there is no easy official MV route to correct the AF. I spent a long while perusing options on the Eldor ecu. It can=me down to really 2 options Rexer and ECUStudio. Rexer is still a virtual locked Black Box arrangement, and not everyone has access to the kit. I used to use Teka on the 16-bit suzuki's which at least helped with the fueling. ECUStudio was the only option I could find that would enable me to turn up at my favourite tuner and have sort the fuelling. It was a little bit of a gamble at the time, as it's a re-flash of the Eldor ECU, and I knew no-one who had used it. But its turned out excellent for me.

I like to have the tools to work independently of the main dealer if needed. Having owned problematic cars Saab and Alfa Romeo, who's dealers opened up and closed more than MV's do. Making parts a pain to get but possible, servicing was near on impossible on a unusual four wheel drive Alfa. So one of conditions on MV ownership was to have the capability to sort the ECU.
