Did the MV guy get you sorted? I have a 2012 1090R and have been having persistent cold stalls, 5 this morning in San Diego where it aint exactly cold. GP cant seem to find then problem, they reset the TPS last time it was in but it didn't cure it. Any ideas? as i'll be changing it for a 2017 I don't want to fit a Power Commander or similar.

Cheers

pete

Thanks, GP increased the idle and that seems to have cured it.

I am currently working with David at Rexxer on getting a cable that works with my 2013 ECU OBD. I'll let you know when it is reflashed with the Rexxer map, TPS reset and how it runs. FYI, speaking with the MV North America rep he said it is as simple as a TPS reset for Magnelli ECU's. I'll reset the TPS before installing David's map so I can see how much that solves our issues. I know that alone has not solved problems for others, but figure with the Rexxer I can get it tweaked by my local tuner (Rexxer) if necessary.

I know I am necrobumping the hell out of this thread but I didn't want to make a new one.

I have a 2012 Brutale 1090R and the RPMs below 3K do not exist. I have grabbed the throttle while in N with two hands and slowly slowly slowly turn the throttle to get it to 1.5K-2.5K and it is almost impossible. The bike shoots RIGHT up to 3k and makes riding at slow speeds and stop and go traffic very frustrating. Like others have commented, I look like a new rider on this thing taking slow corners, making anything relatively slow a chore to make sure I don't chop the throttle. Is this just the bike, is it the TPS, is it the ECU? I have read a few posts on here and not sure where to start. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Start with adjusting your throttle cables.

Fueling on 2018 Brutale Dragster 800 RR is excellent at any RPM. First gear is pretty tall compared to my other bikes, but yes the machine is extremely smooth in any conditions.

Acid32, you will find a few threads about this.
It is the nature of the design that there is a jump from idle to 2000rpm. It is the way the ignition curve is set up, so adding a fuel adjusting device is not going to fix it.
Low speed riding will require slipping the clutch together with a lower gear and more revs.

The reference idle on a 1090R is 1100-1200 RPM.

Snatchy throttle response is likely caused by unbalanced Throttle Bodies and poor set-up of the throttle cables.

ECU tuning also helps.
