7,500 service question regarding a full exhaust

Bike: 2007 F4 Senna

Would it make more sense one way or the other on fitting an full Arrow Competition exhaust and PCIII before/after bringing the bike in for it's 7,500 service?

As she sits now she is completely stock.

I can't imagine it would, but it can't hurt to ask. Thanks in advance!

Seth,
During the service would make most sense, as the service involves a good amount of removal of bodywork, fuel tank airbox etc. While the bike is in pieces it would not be a big step more to remove the radiator and fit the exhaust system also the PCIII.

Jim, I appreciate the response but I think I wrote what I was trying to ask a bit unclear.

I'm capable of fitting the exhaust and PCIII myself. My question was in regards to the adjustments that they make during the service being effected one way or the other based on if the system is fitted prior to going into the service.

In other words, should I put the exhaust on before it goes in or wait until it comes back? Does it matter one way or the other?

Hi Seth
If you're going to a full race system, you will have to get the bike dyno tuned in any case, are you fitting another ecu or PC ?
And you don't have to remove the radiators to install new exhaust.

Hi Seth,
OK, then I would say it does not really matter either way. I guess you are going to have the PCIII setup on a dyno, that does put a bit of a strain on an engine so having new oil and valves clearances checked before the run would be my preference.

Dons the bike will most definitely be going to the tuner after the system is fitted. CAG uses the same tuner that I used for my R1, so I'm going to give the PC a shot before trying another ecu.

My concern was if it made any difference to the adjustments that are made during the 7,500 service if a full system and pcIII is on or not.

any idiot can fuel a motor on the big end......you just need a lambda meter

how are you going to do the transitions on a dyno?????

datalog it while riding around......thats the real world.....wait....... you have a caveman alpha/N system that doesn't reference MAP, brilliant

my buddy Bob is building a 2nd dyno.....his other one won't deal with 700HP RACE bikes.....and you can't tune streamliners on the street

you have 375HP turbo Gixxer? tune it on the street

ever see the line at A/F 13.5 on a dyno chart?

that's maximum steady state HP

max acceleration A/F ~12.8
on decel or over run pull the fuel to ~A/F 17 but add timing

data log what your bike is doing then fix it
