F4 pressure sensor question

Hi All

Please could anyone help!!

I have recently had a need to remove the air tubes from my F4 1078 (another silly crash....) any way when I was putting things back together I dropped the left air tube and pulled out the air pressure sensor. I was going to just pop it back in again but I noticed there was an o-ring on the sensor that looks like it should create a seal in the air tube. The thing is there isn't a grommet or anything in the air tube to create a seal.

My question is should there be a rubber grommet or similar in the air tube and if so does anyone know where I can get one in the UK?

Thanks!!

Tim

Hi Tim, sorry to hear about your crash.
The temp / pressure sensor that locates into the left air-tube is held in place by two o-rings. The actual sensor hangs unsupported into the air-tube. there is no o-ring in the middle hole that the sensor sits in. Either side of that center hole there is an o-ring that the alloy pegs slot into to support the sensor in situ.

Joe, I should have just kept it simple. I like your answer better.
