Do you mean 1090? They replaced all the others in 2010.

Cheers

It may have been first registered in 2014 - but it's kind of irrelevant. (10th Digit = E (2014), D = (2013) etc. Don't be surprised if it's B or C.

It's a 990R with 10,000 km on the clock. It's needs a good inspection and particularly the hub - it's due for a standard 12k Service soon but I'd definitely bring all that forward as the bike's not really been ridden a lot.

If it runs well and you're happy with the price - then buy it and come back to us - there are hundreds of posts on what to do once you have it.

The key to owning an MV
1. Ride it - and ride it hard
2. Maintain it properly - most of which can be done by yourself.

Cheers

Thumbs up ?

Buy it;
Remove the sprocket nut and check the condition of the cush drive rubbers, replace if necessary
Adjust the chain and reduce the pinch bolt torque to 15lbft/20Nm

Enjoy

As a 990r owner with 13,679km, I say buy it. Absolutely love this bike. Look at the hoses as well as they can become hard and brittle from engine heat/sun exposure and develop vacuum leaks (as with any bike). It really is a pretty easy bike to do maintenance on and has taught me a lot. I have recently serviced the hub with the help of the manual and this forum with no issues.

All that said, I still have to look back at it every time because it's so beautiful.

Welcome to the forum.
