I have a 2013 F4RR, and today I climbed off of it, and accidentally hit the mirror, knocking it off its mount. Its dangling by the blinker wires. Anyone have any idea how it goes back on?
If it broke where the arrow is, there is a connector there consisting of a threaded rod and a flat nut inside. If this peice is craked you will have to be creative to repair it.
The mirror assembly bolts to a stalk and the fairng as shown.
I have some broken mirrors (the threaded stalk snapped off) and am experimenting with drilling the old stem out, tapping the remaining metal inside the mirror (a big molded in piece) and using a basic lamp repair threaded rod......
I'll post my results in another thread if successful.
