Where to start looking please

2005 F41000.
Bike started to miss then backfire badly with no idle and no power, next try it would not start or even pop out of the exhaust or inlet.
Before I tear into it wonder if someone with experience could give me a few pointers, dont think its the coils as I believe it has 2 so should run on 2 cylinders if one went down?
The bike has new internal and external fuel lines done some time ago.

thanks for any help with where to start.

Starting point, open the fuel cap and turn on the ignition.
Look into the fuel tank with a torch and see if there are any bubbles when the pump activates.
Should be just a slight swirl of fuel.
The pump hose may have popped off.
