2005 F4 1000S Dropping a cylinder (or two?).

Every now and then while riding on the highway, I’ll feel a vibration coming from the bike and I know right away that all cylinders are not firing. If I pull over, shut it off, then turn it back on, it seems to fix it. It only happens once every couple weeks.

I replaced all plugs right away, but it just happened again today. I see that others have had similar issues for a myriad of reasons. I thought the next step might be to replace the coils, but it appears that MV discontinued these?!? Looking online I don’t really find much either. Where would I find replacement coils? I also need to look at fueling as a potential issue . . . fuel lines, filter, etc. any recommendations would be spectacular.

Perhaps you should read some of the sticky threads at the top of this very section....and maybe do a search or two...

It could be the infamous EBS relay acting up. Your bike has that system.

Search for Fiat punto coils on gen 1 F4. I did it, and there are part numbers too.

New Site Garage
Search EBS and all will be revealed

Keep your MV in good repair: motorcycle boots are not designed for walking.
