Lower fan motor pre-2010

Well I have done some searching of the forum to no avail.

Putting together my bike I noticed that the lower radiator fan’s blades are hard to turn. My Dad and I connected the motor to a 12 V battery and the motor has a hard time getting going. The top radiator fan motor moves smoothly.

Does anyone have or know of a source for the Panasonic motor that drives the fan? Star Twin has the unit for a mere 312 Euros.

My unit has muzzy fan blades, I just need a motor or reasonable facsimile.

Thanks for all your help!

PS Why are the part numbers on the upper radiator fan motor and the lower fan motor different? Do they draw different amps?

Here is a link to an EBAY upper fan. I believe the difference in part numbers is about the way the upper and lower fans mount.

You can scavenge the fan motor and install in your unit with the Muzzy Blade.

I also have one, but you will need to connect the wires back on. I used them to keep the stock connection when I added my lighter fans. You have about 3/4 inch of the wire to use. Mine are from my 07 F4R, but I would l think they were the same.

Thanks guys! Got one on Ebay for about 65 US with shipping. I definitely travel the long less expensive route! Expensive in man hours, yet have earned a lot of knowledge. Work in progress will post pics once arrived!
