ECU Diag tool 2012 F4 Magneti Marelli - IAW 7BM.01

Hey guys, just wondering what are you using as an ECU diagnostic tool.

Been following the forum for years and did a new research, but never came across something for this specific ECU (only for the 16 and 5SM).

Anyone had any luck with any multi protocol OBD adapter or any solution of this sort?

Having data transmitted to lap timer on the go would be a huge bonus.

I have one VDST for a Ducati (that I no longer have) and was debating buying one for the F4 since I bought the bike 6 years ago. Was looking at technoresearch site and looks like the only option would be the Alaris, but not available for sale.

Thanks

I have looked into this and have found nothing for this ECU! I had created a loom to test a OBD II Dongle, but it seems that the ECU protocols are different from that of the standardised ones for cars, so I got no readable signal back!

I resorted to fitting a Microtec ECU, but haven't had the time to look into how to extract data from it yet, so no better there, but at least I can connect to it with my laptop and get readings this way. This could help diagnose issues to an extent.

Have looked into this one http://jpdiag.akress.com/? Not sure if it would work for your ECU, it worked nicely for my 2010 Brutale 1090RR

Your 2010 B4 has a Magneti Marelli ECU....

The listed device does not work for the OP's application.

Thank you for replies. Will look into listed options and continue looking through. Microtec looks a great option, but not sure if want to go that route, at least for now.

Will keep an eye and let you know if I find something.
