Brutale 990 and 1090 tail section

Hi, bought a 2010 990r a few weeks ago and the undertail fender section is a rigged up SV 650 light so I wanted to get an OEM replacement to get it looking good again. Anybody know it a 2012 1090r section will fit the 990r?

Thanks

Cannot give you a definitive answer, but I would be surprised if they were not compatible.
The original 990 and 1090 were released at the same time and have minor differences in footpegs etc, and the big difference is the motor size.
The 2nd generation of the 1090 which was released in 2012 has electrical and cosmetic changes.

No worries and thanks. The seller said the undertail/battery piece is compatible, but the rear fender piece that holds the tail light is not. Damn, it’s been hard to find that piece and OEM looks like is $300 plus shipping from UK. Got the bike for $3800 so don’t mind spending a bit to get some minor things fixed, but it seems to be adding up quick.

I can confirm the lighting for rear lighting for the 990 and 1090 are identical.

Update. After finally getting the part from Australia it fit perfectly. Bought an inter grated signal tail light and looks great now. That whole piece was missing when I bought it so the 2 tail pieces were flopping around. Had under tail piece from an SV 650 zip tied. Pretty close to stock now. Looks great!
