Why the Difference?

G'day All,
Why this difference on the damper adjustment tower? With the spring pre-load set at the factory five rings, the tops of the tower are the same, that is about level. However, when I screwed the spring preload down the left hand tower is way higher than the right. The right hand side goes down with the spring pre-load, the left stays where it was. Thoughts?

Phelps.

Thumbs up ?

The red piece is the fork cap
The silver piece is spring preload
The blue piece is rebound adjustment......

You've unscrewed it too far and it isn't screwing back in, push down and then turn it
I'd take both caps off and find out what's wrong......normally there is a stop or zero point
Might be a manufacturing screw up
ogrilp400 and Tirefriar like this.

All fixed. The blue piece is supposed to be screwed tight into the red fork cap, remaining stationary as the silver spring preload is screwed up and down. The RH one had come loose and was following the silver spring pre load up and down.
