F4 750 water pump upgraded or not?

Is there a way to tell if my "new" (2000) F4 750 has had the MV upgraded water pump housing and impeller fitted, short of pulling the pump apart?
I'd rather order parts and take the bike off the road when they arrive, rather than in the reverse order, waiting for bits.

She runs hot, and very quickly gets VERY hot in town. I simply want to ensure she has the best chance of NOT cooking her cylinder heads, so, having seen there was an upgrade from MV, I wanted to find out if mine has been upgraded!
Any help?

the upgrade was made avail for the 1000 because the overheating issue began with that model. The 750 upgrade to the cooling system was adding the additional radiator. I believe that was the 2001 model. I think my 2002 may have run hot once, but I was sitting in traffic jam on a very hot day. So even with the upgraded pump pushing more water, you would need the additional radiator upgrade to exchange the heat.

My 750 has dual radiators. There was an upgraded impeller/cover combination
8000B3126 impeller
80B0B3144 cover

I would like to know if there's any way of identifying whether my bike has this upgrade. If not, I'll have to drain the system and pull the cover to view the impeller.
There's no way I'm ordering and paying (and waiting for) parts which may be already fitted.

The upgrade was made with evo2 version, adding the second radiator, as somebody wrotes already up
So the best solution is to add a second radiator
Contact me if you need used radiator or other spare parts

I have a 2000 model and it has the second radiator. My understanding is there was a recall for it. I don't think you can tell without pulling the water pump if it has the newer impeller. Contrary to some opinions above I found upgrading the water pump and adding a manual fan switched did alot to help my bike run cooler and feel it was worth it.

You can drain the water with the hole on the impeller cover. Remove the outer cover by taking out the two screws which hold it in. You will be able to see the impeller inside. Cover back on and replace water. Should be about a 15 min process. You do not have to remove the entire pump. Hope this helps. If you search on here for design corse upgrades. Brian had a great write up and showed pics of the stock impeller, mv upgraded impeller, and the one from design corse.

Thanks folks.
I didn't know that the pump cover could be removed without draining the system. I'll check this out when I stop riding it and get it onto my bike bench.
I still can't view attached images but have seen pics of the upgraded impeller.
Here's hoping...
