Help Needed - F4 SPR Cutting Out

Hi, Iíve read a lot of the threads on here, but thought Iíd ask before starting my diagnosis journey. So my F4 SPR completely cuts out as it rises above 100 degrees. By cutting out I mean it completely stops including a blank console, no errors or warning lights. After that it wonít start or turn over until cooled down, the display comes back, then it will start immediately. It gets quite hairy when riding it ! Any ideas as to the most likely cause gratefully received :-)

So it completely loses electrical power when over 100C ??? No lights, no nothing?

Strange indeed. First thought is battery. Not sure why directly temp related but maybe the heat from the exhaust is expanding a bad connection?
Has to be a heat related expansion of some connector creating a total open circuit in the power supply from the battery.

Here's a question, does the trip meter and clock reset when this happens?

Hi, When I say 100, I mean I can see it going up in traffic 93,94,95,96,97,98,99,100,101,102,103 then somewhere around there, on the increase, is it completely dies or she is getting turned off by the ECU maybe?

I need to check whether the lights go out, but I think yes.

Iíll check the trip and clock at the same time.

Battery is new and charged.

When she cools, she starts on the button.

I think maybe your ECU is shutting down the bike as overheat protection? But do you see the temp readout flashing when as this happens?

And where are you in this world?

Merc07 is the 16M ECU guru. You might send him a PM.

You could be right.

Does the heat protection from the ECU just switch the bike off, including the display etc?

Temp readout isnít flashing, what temp is it set to flash?

The display is showing a continual rise, but doesnít go much further than very early 100ís.

Iím in the UK.

Itís 16M.

The label says, SPR17CTX - MV Agusta F4 750 Senna CE

Hi, iíve looked at the other thread, I donít think the two problems have the same cause. My fans come on as expected at about 100 degrees, then as the temp rises by a few degrees, before the fans can drop the temp, the bike completely shuts down until cool then she can be restarted and after heating up she shuts down again.

Any more ideas as to what I should be looking for?

Thanks.

I would look at the temperature switch that inputs to the ECU.
There are two temperature switches, one for the dash and one for the ECU.
The ECu has a high temp shutdown at ~240 degrees Fahrenheit.
