F4 1st gen gearbox output shaft end-float

2007 F4 1000R
I've recently changed the chain and noticed a significant amount(~5mm?) of end-float (axial play) on the output shaft from the gearbox.
The engine manual doesn't appear to list a tolerance range for axial play on this shaft but I was not expecting something to be so sloppy, unless it is designed this way to keep the front sprocket in line with the rear?
Anyone have any input/knowledge on this?

Thumbs up ?

bono;
end play should be the internal play of the CS bearing less than 0.1mm
You said you have ~5mm.....something is wrong

bugger!
Thanks, I will have to go and double check as it would seem strange for it to be worn that badly. I guess you mean the one highlighted(3) in the attached picture?
I assume replacement would be clutch off, sprocket off and then gearset removal.

So I'm not sure what I was thinking earlier, I went and checked it and there is zero play. I can only assume I had been wobbling it without the sprocket fully tight or just imagining it, thanks for the help though Noel
