In tank drain hose

Just validating that Buna-N hose is okay to use. Looking at McMaster Carr and torn between the less expensive 5/16 Buna-n or more expensive Viton hose. Removed the charcoal canister so trying to get everything back together. Thanks.

Either is fine, Viton is better marginally.

How much do you want? I have 100 feet of it here.

What part numbers are you looking at?

Was looking at 5235K48 for the Buna-N and 5119K44 for the Viton. I am running two lines internally and tapping/sealing the old air inlet for the canister. Ultimately would like 4 foot just to cover 15 to 18” each. Do the part numbers line up?

I can't remember which I have, but looking at the prices it is probably Buna-N. I have used it for years for the tank internal drains with no issues.

If you want, PM me an address and I'll send you three feet at cost.

Thank you Chuck for the offer. I am going to buy enough to cover me for now and the next time. Appreciate you giving me some peace of mind on my way forward.

You want Buna-N.....
Wye the 2 POS together and connect them to the canister air inlet, then plug the 2 holes in the fuel pump plate.....

Then you don't have to disconnect anything to remove the fuel pump plate....you add a Wye but make life so much
simpler

Okay so ignorant question, will a standard vacuum wye from auto parts store work?

Yes, they're designed to be exposed to fuel vapors all the time
