2015 F4 RR Oil Pressure Light
My bike cut out on the freeway today and the oil pressure light came on. No codes came up on the dash. I was able to pull off to the side, hit the kill switch, and removed the key. I immediately put the key back and the bike started back up right away. Once I got home I tried to pull a code and no codes were thrown. I'm guessing I just have a faulty oil pressure sensor. I search the forums and everyone's saying the GM oil sensor works, but I think that's for the previous generation F4. I pulled up the new oil sensor on startwintrading, but I was wondering if anyone knows a GM or alternative sensor I can use.

When your engine is not running, and the key is on, the oil pressure light will light because oil pressure is not being maintained.
I am also fairly certain there is not an Engine Cutout for low oil pressure.

Cool... anyone know what my next troubleshooting step is? Having a bike that randomly cuts power (this has happened 4 or so times by now) and not throw any codes is super not safe.

There are many threads on this. Look at your kickstand and clutch switches.

Sorry, I searched for power loss and I get dragged into the oil pressure sensor black hole. Just looked through the kickstand and clutch switch ones. I suppose I can always disconnect my kickstand switch for the time being and see if that "fixes" the issue. Problem is it's super intermittent (like once every 2-4 weeks). I'm hoping it's the kickstand because I feel like if I disconnected the clutch switch I'd have to plug it back in every time just to start the bike.

Look in the manual for the things necessary to start and run your engine. Eliminate each one systematically.

The Tip Over sensor is another possible culprit.

Too much work. Gonna buy every single sensor on the bike and replace them one at a time until the issue goes away.

In all honesty thanks for the help.

Intermittent electrical gremlins can be some of the most frustrating things to solve. A systematic approach is necessary. (Unless you are a lucky bast*rd...)
