2013 F4 rr timeing chain tensioner

need to know how new tensioner goes in ! with spring faceing down or up ( there is a small spring that holds ratchet mechanism not sure if it goes up or faces down ??)

The spring faces up.
I trust you have taken the cam cover off and secured the timing chain before removal of the tensioner? If not the chain will have dropped off the bottom sprocket and you will need to redo the cam timing.
