Bolt size for partially threaded engine mount bolts.

Hi I have a 2011 Brutale 1090RR. Trying to make a frame slider that use the threaded hole on the original engine mount bolts. I I tried M6 1.0 pitch but it just keep turning. Any Ideals for that thread size. thank you. Below is the picture of the thread

That thread looks damaged mate, both sides the same ?
But... for what it's worth, I seem to remember them being some weird size like M7, can't tell for sure till I have time to have a look at some on the bike.

Im not sure if it damaged or not I try to turn a M6 with 1.0 pitch in from the first few threads it was lose but when it get inside it a little bit tight so I just keep turning and it just keep spinning.
