2007 F4 1000R headlamp problem

Hi all,

Bike is 2007 F4 1000R, first registered Jan 2009, 21k miles.

Jen brought the F4 R home complaining the high beam was out.

Checked fuse, fine, even replaced it to be sure, meter test fine.
Bulb pulled, checked fine, used a meter on it so no doubts.
Relay, pulled swapped with a known good one still lamp out.

Anybody had similar issue if so what was it?

Did you put the meter to the hot supply of the bulb, with the bike running and high beam activated?

Possibilities include a bad ground connection, a bad power lead, a faulty hi/lo switch.

Right no supply to the bulb, tested with meter, looking at switch now.

One thought, could it be the projector light itself?

I am in the garage off and on today myself...we have been hot, hazy, and humid for a week now.

I love it, but I also have a big ol' pool to jump into when I have had too much of the good weather!

A big old pool would be good, my hot tub just not the thing on days like this, Weber z lot more cold than hot!

Right switch seems good, even flash to pass switch seems OK so where now, I hate MV wiring costs.

Hi Joe.
Yeah went straight to them after the bulb, in the end got fed up it was hot here so rode to the pub for a couple of cold ones. It can wait until tomorrow now.
