camshaft problems, intake 8F00A9009, exhaust 8C00A9010

Anyone has a 312r, 312rr, F4 1000 MY 2010-2012, with blown crank case who could spare me the camshafts?

Mine are beyond wear, and 5 valve buckets are dented with wear.

After 25k km, noticed at normal maintenance

Pics maybe lateron

Wink ?

Donsy;

You want worn cams? I have some😉

cam break in is extremely important.......

I'll go talk to the Camfather and his son Richard

my '05 1000S has brand new cams and buckets .....all black and not a mark on them

Something is up at 16,000+ mi......and the cam bearing blocks were over torqued too

I'll see if they'll do a spectrographic analysis of the coatings

Yeah it's a bit weird Noel, my one head has the famous "flaking" happening on the outlet cam, but at 10 000km's now I don't see wear on the buckets yet ?

YES, not fun.
Weirdest was we did not notice the dented cups until dismantled. Even some with worn cups were in spec measuring valve clearance.
list price each cam 1100€ valve cups 35€ each. and going for all 16 as i don't want the new cams with used cups.

We will measure (hardness) the old material and compare to the new parts for archiving and future use
