Thumbs up Found clutch slave seals!

One of my friends went to;

Precision Automotive Brake Supply
in Lynwood CA

They had the 1 /3/16" master cylinder seals that fit the MV clutch slave........and you thought it was metric

THE PROBLEM IS THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY FIT!!!!!!

So don't call them and ask

you hand them the seal and they go look in the back and come back with the seal

They had the 1 1/8" Aprilia RSVR slave seals and the Brembo radial clutch M/C

seals also...... :drummer

My friend said his clutch is 3,000% better...... Neutral the 1st try when stopped....

He's an old Ferrari mechanic and knows how to bleed systems

If enough interest is shown, I'll see if I can buy a dozen or 2

Anyone?

So they do exist! Congratulations! I'll take one.

0.0065in difference between 30mm an 1 3/16"

This is a (bad) photo of a slave seal I had made recently.

The slave cylinder on my F4RR had a slight leak. The bore of the slave had a little of what looked like old chain lube on it which no doubt upset the sealing. I took it to the brake and clutch outfit I use, they cleaned and examined the bore and seal, gave it a light hone and pronounced that there was no reason it should leak. They then offered to get a seal made for it. Really? How much? I asked thinking it would be huge. $25 (NZ) they said so I ordered one. They send the measurements to supplier who machines them from a solid block using a cnc lathe.

I reassembled it using the old seal as I was going away for a few days on the bike and it was fine.

I did fit the new seal when it arrived and bled it, paying a lot of attention to master cylinder angle and using the bleed nipple on the master cylinder, and got the most solid feel I've ever had at the lever. It ran fine over 400km last weekend.

Thumbs up ?

Folks......

I know it's a GM and Toyota M/C seal but I don't know what models.......the cross

reference look ups need a make, model, year.......they don't list size........

Beyond stupid.

I'll try to buy a bunch of them.....

Remember the slave appears to have been made by Brembo........ famous for bead

blasting their shitty machining to hide it and then hard anodizing it to really fuck it up

SOOO......

if you want to redo the slave you'll need to hone the BS smooth in the slave.,........

Trust me it takes more than 2 minutes......

It's silicon carbide vs aluminum oxide

Like rubber was going to wear the aluminum out
