I see his F3 is still up for sale...

I gotta say posting up his James Bond Aston in his F3 CL ad speaks volumes...

Well, in the words of many an American sales guru: 'Never waste an opportunity'!

I do wonder though how many prospective purchasers of an MV F3 might be inclined to part with a treasured Rolex as part payment? (And then encounter the dilemma of valuation!)

I am pretty confident he'll be sitting on this bike for sale for a very very long time with that asking price.

Just like those wheel's he was trying to sell....

Brand new. Fully upgraded to the bone.

why sell immediataly after adding all those mods. Isnt that like putting a couple 100 dollar bills on the floor, poor gasoline over it and lit it up.
AKA waste of money?

In my eyes If I were to look for an F3 and a fully upgraded with less than 500 on the odometer tells me something is wrong with the bike itself.
Why else put it up for sale right.
Also it has a grey engine so it is at best a "early" 2016MY and that alone drops 2-3K of the base price to begin with.

Best of luck to him, it looks like a pretty nice F3, but $17k is much too steep for that bike. IMO it is usually better to return a bike to stock trim and sell/trade it, then sell all the cool kid stuff separately.

FWIW I don't think it's all that highly modified. It appears to be modified with mostly bolt on's, poser and appearance related parts. Not a great deal of real performance parts. The suspension appears bone stock, rearsets, brakes, gearing, etc...

What's the deal with yours nowadays? Did you decide to keep it?

Jerry - It is a keeper. That said it is still evolving. This winter it is getting a significant overhaul. Valve springs, piston & rings (possibly over bored & plated), clutch plates, bearings etc. I love riding/racing it but it is always in the back of my mind that it is probably the most expensive middle weight on track by a large margin thus crashing would be catastrophic.

It is getting a few more things done to it while it is apart. The transmission is going to get welded/under cut and cryo treated. The rear brake, rotor, carrier and caliper is going to be replaced with a smaller lighter assembly, all remaining steel fasteners will be converted to Titanium (most are on hand already) the TTX GP shock and Ohlins forks are going to be overhauled with serviced again with new oil, nitrogen, seals & bushings. It is going to have the plastic shroud I made to better funnel air to the radiator recreated in fiberglass.

It is the best handling bike I've ever owned but it has taken a major effort to get it into that trim. CP
