Lewis Leathers Monza Jacket 1974.

.

It is with a heavy heart that I'm going to sell my original Lewis Leathers Monza jacket. Originally bought from their store in Great Portland Street, London's in the West End.

It is totally original and has never been down the road, but as you would expect from a 44 year old jacket, it has plenty of patina.

All the zips work perfectly, leather is still supple and for its age, it's in exceptional condition ( because it has been stored away in a vacuum storage bag )

Lewis Leathers still sell these jackets in their new London premises : https://www.lewisleathers.com/produc...l?code=jak-445 . They now cost £845.

Please do not confuse this original 1970's jacket for the new version.. This is THE REAL DEAL !!!!! and not a watered down modern version.

You need to do your homework if you don't know about Lewis Leathers.

Back then this jacket cost me a months wages as an apprentice mechanic at a Ford Dealer in London on minimum wages.

Size fits chests between 42 or 44 inches. ( there's room for a jumper if you are a size 42").

Sale price £549.

Ideally I'd like this Monza jacket to go to a good home, where it's going to be appreciated and looked after. At the end the the day, its a bit of motorcycle history of that era.

I really, really don't want to put this jacket on Ebay.

Cheers
John

Oh boy..... Pam would kill me .... You say 42~44? That's Euro sizing right?

Wonder if I can sweet talk her into a Father's Day present.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Ed

To give you some idea on Lewis Leather sizes, I weigh approx 86Kg ( without my socks on ) and this jacket still fits me snugly..

At a push, I might be able to get a very thin jumper on, but to be honest, it would be a bit on the tight side for my personal liking.
