Interesting, now that ive turned down a job offer in Ozz, im heading your way the end of this month, beginning of september

starting off in Denver,
cheyenne - Wyoming,
Rapid city - South dakota
Deadwood - South dakota
Sheridan - Wyoming
yellowstone - Wyoming
Jackson Hole - Wyoming
Salt lake City - Utah
Steambout Springs - Colorado
Estes Park - Colorado
and back to denver

will be caving and seeing the sights, hopefully see some MV's also

the problem with the USA is that its a stunning place and too many sites to visit, I'll get round them all one day

F1NXS,

I've got a recommendation for you if you are going to be in the region. I'd suggest you make your way up from Jackson Hole to the Flathead lake region of Montana. There's few places like it in the US. PM if you are interested in more detail but I can tell you I've explored all of the places you are going and Flathead is worth the ride as long as you do it in the summer.

Best,

Todd

Sean
I will stop by and ask if your around, see if you have time for a few beers and a catch up on MV - brutes and F4's; Do you have any info on the Badlands, how long a drive it is from Rapid City and would it be better for me to stop over in the nat. Park for one night or just a drive up there then back to rapid city?
One further thing; is the bear park still open when you first drive into rapid city? we have a great interest in bears and wolves and would love to visit this place again if its still around.

Todd
any reccomendations on this route are much appreciated and I would like to experience more of montana. I drove up the I90 through Bighorn, visited the Custor battlefield monument, onto Billings then back down the 89 into yellowstone in 2006.

Ive never been over the west side of montana and any info would be greatly appreciated: PM sent.

any info on caves around the area would be appreciated also; except for the Jewel and Wind caves, im pretty much upto speed on them, again many thanks Sean and Todd.

okay 1:st question....1hour from rapid... badlands is a great day trip...BUT if you love stars and the sound of coyotes howling and the such...camp overnight in a tent! phenomenal!!!

2nd bear country:not sure when they close for season but i just happen to be friends with the owners. so if they arent still open i can gewt you in without too much problem.

lots of caves around the area. think you can get info from any of the spelunker guys on site. maybe 6 caves around?

any more questions? numerous things you need to see here in the "hills"

Sean
Hey man

road works on way to spearfish but all is good, saw these waterfalls also.

I stayed in spearfish last night, still here as i type, We were booked into the Silverado Franklin Historic Hotel in Deadwood, we checked in, got the keys and went upto the room, Sara took one look and said no way,

we got a room change which was just as bad,

so even though the place was paid for, we headed back to spearfish and got a stunning room here

we still have the keys for the room in Deadwood if you need a room haha

nice meeting you sean, and you got some real stunning roads here than would make half the guys on this forum mvious.

okay, im gone, heading onto sheridan stopping in at devils tower
