Question Baltimore Maryland 2002 750F4 S

Greetings,

I am struggling to get my newly purchased ride road reliably ready. The bike wouldn't start after a failed inspection at the non MV dealership. All MV dealers are 3-4 plus hours away.

The bike needs a bit of minor work and would love to pass inspection: Tighten chain, new tires, rear brake pads, turn signal issues-- Im guessing new fuel pump because my next guess after replacing battery and it wont start even though it fires during ignition activation.

My question is does anyone know of an independent shop in the Baltimore area that services MV?

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Joe, I'm in Baltimore. Not a shop but I have some tools, I can offer some help if you want to tackle any of this yourself. Otherwise you can try MRP in Pasadena, they've always been good to me.

Hi Joe,
I'm in Frederick and took my bike to Eurosports for service but they are gone now. Hope MV puts another dealer close to us.( You might want to replace your fuel filter and run a fuel cleaner in your tank if you can actually get it to run. Good luck and welcome!

Welcome to the family @jferris7771 !!! Please add your location to your profile.

Talk to Al ...he knows his stuff.

Your bike is easy to work on and lots of information is available on this forum.

Go get your manuals from Donsy's web site (tell him thank you!!) at:

Team Double 3 Racing | MV Agusta

What did not pass the Maryland inspection? On another note...Do NOT over tighten your chain. Also do NOT over tighten the hub pinch bolts. Read up on hub failures for reasons why this is critical stuff.

How many miles on your new beauty?

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

minor issues, loose chain, turn signals, dry rot in tires....should be back on road soon, it was a blast riding it the handful of times I got to ride it! My initial diagnosis is the plugs are fouled up cause of the excessive non startup starts

@jferris7771: Reading your OP, I noticed you said it wont start after battery replacement....this is a traditional point of failure for new MV owners as they tend to reverse the polarity of the battery on installation. If that is done, there are several components that will fail and prevent bike start.

I cannot tell from your photos, but is the negative terminal forward on your bike?

Another issue is ensuring ALL of the wires get connected to the correct terminals
