New member and F4 owner

Hello everyone!

My name is Andrew. Last month, I finally bought my dream bike (from 20 years ago) and here I am

The bike is a 2000 model F4 and is being delivered to my home in Virginia, tomorrow! I purchased the bike from California. The only down side is the previous owner has not yet sent the keys!

I'm slightly concerned about the bike not being able to run upon delivery (I know the bike runs) simply due to getting it in my garage, etc. Hopefully, I'll have the keys / title and be riding soon enough.

I've been doing a lot of reading over the past 3-4 weeks and it appears have much more reading to do!

Anyway, hello from Virginia!...so excited!

Welcome

Similar story, loved the bikes since I saw the 20 years ago, finally ended up buying my dream. Unlike most dreams I've found the F4 to live up to my expectations.

Big smile even when I'm just working on it, riding it is always fun

Agree, although I go beyond the '20 years ago'.

Good purchase and a great bike to both ride and leave in the lounge room. Who needs IKEA?

So how long did you dream of an F4 for? They only came out 20 years ago

Congrats Drewbert, great choice. We did the same - 2002 F4. Ours took a lot of work to get running again though due to neglect. I hope you have better luck with yours and you get to ride it without delay.

Make sure you check out this article written when the F4 was first released, fascinating reading:
