Hello members, from South Florida

Hi all,
I just purchased a 2006 910S from the orginal owner with only 1,211 miles. The bike has an arrow exhaust and cat, with some other goodies. Question Would I have to add a power commander or chip it because of the exhaust? Also when I have the kickstand down the bike doesn't start and when the kickstand is up it starts. Im looking forward to tweeting it, with your help. I love the look of the bike. I will post pics Thanks
Kevin

Welcome to the family !!!

It may already have a chip for the exhaust. How does it run??
If needed, you can put a PowerCommander on it, or get a chip made for it (contact Adam aka Merc07 on the forum).....or better yet, get a Microtec ECU if you can afford it.

Should start with side stand down if in neutral. May need to also pull the clutch lever.

Go to Donsy's site for all the manuals for your bike:

Then send him a thank you note.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Thank you for the info. I asked the previous owner and he didn't install a chip or a power commander. I will look up the member and see about getting a chip made.
Thanks again
Kevin
P.S. I will post some picks soon

Kevin, a 2006 model with only 1200 miles suggests the previous owner was a fastidious enthusiast. I can't imagine that he would have run the bike in any way other than its optimum.

Have you queried him about the bike's performance? Have you ridden your new bike for any amount of miles to ascertain its running and tuning?

Hi nigelrb
The guy that bought it from was clearly a big fan of bikes. He had a ducati's and a BMW. When I purchased the bike I rode it home, Which was about 48 miles. The bike rode very good. I need to buy a power commander or get a chip due to the arrow exhaust. I will post pictures soon.
Thank you.
