Part of the familia

Wanted to officially introduce myself after finally obtaining my 312R . Been many years waiting. Had a cbr600rr06. Was my work horse. 2 motors later and a couple miscommunications with her, leading to a few broken bones, always blaming myself as the victim in an abusive confrontation . I was pressured into selling her(they didn’t understand the love). After 10 years of having her. I can still remember, all black zero miles. I was just a pup.. and dumb one at that. A 7k motorcycle, came out to 18k(at 17 years old i didn’t care what 24% APR stood for. While paying for her I quickly found out, mostly by the mocking of others) too much I know but for all the joy she gave me, she clearly was worth that much to me.

For my 30th birthday I swore I would get my dream bike. Seeing my mentor/ master mechanic have two MV Agusta’s sitting at the shop, him deciding which went better with his outfit. I rather say he was encouraging instead of throwing it in my face. One year later, I find one in PA. So I buy a one way ticket and figured I will figure out everything when I got there.

Low and behold a 312R, finally found her at the proper time in my life(single with a very supporting grandfather, god bless the old girl). The sellers, best family ever(what else can I say, they were making my dream come true) yet the shipping company to Miami was not the best, more as nonexistent. Decided to get a uhaul and take her home myself(first time in Pittsburgh and doing such a long trip)

Course the Uhaul wasn’t ready that day. So they told me get a hotel and see Pittsburgh for what it is( funny on the flight a mature woman flat out told me go to Shadyside, they will find you(reminding me of field of dreams), never got the chance to thank her) jumped in an Uber and headed that way. Get to a bar, make a few small talk and I had a waitress as my tour guide. Got to explore the town and take on the full Pittsburgh experience as the sellers suggested.

Next day I finally said bye to Pittsburgh and had my lady strapped up in a small Uhaul van. The longest 16hour drive ever.. however West Virginia was gorgeous(assuming spring time) so many curves and scenic views. I got used to the dead deers on the side of the road, would be nice to revisit on the MV. As I came lower to my wonderful sunshine state the roads became straight and dull. I didn’t care if I had to jump on and off highway ramps to just get a lean on her. After making that straight drive to Miami. I’m not even tired(maybe a little). More excited and re reading the manual to better understand and appreciate her.

Would apologies for the long post, however I can’t. Truly a day in my book.

Thank you guys!

Picture from when I got her. I’ll make sure to upload new pics as I make her my own.

Now that you mention it.. nothing out of this world comes to mind. Maybe black seats. Wanted to eventually get a another set of plastics and tank and paint them all black with the red rims and a red frame to match the rims.. ofcourse with time. I guess to honestly answer your question. I just have two things to do. Service the hell out of her and ride!
