My name is Mac Morgan and I'm from Hockessin Delaware. I'm in my 71 year, am a army veteran having served from 1965-1969 in a 175mm gun battalion in Germany. I'm happily married and have a great family. My mother is still with us and at almost 98, still drives and lives by herself. I hope I've got her genes! I spent 45 years in the car business selling Mercedes and am now retired and having a good time

I've joined mv Agusta.net to get a better understanding of the bike I just bought, the Stradale. Last week I went to Eraldo Ferracci's shop which was closing after many year. His last "new" bike was a 2015 Stradale which I purchased.
I've been riding all my life and although not a collector, have owned or have worked on many bikes. My latest venture was to assemble a 1951 Vincent Black Shadow for an old friend. I spent a year picking through boxes of parts- nuts, bolts, exhaust pipes, bits and pieces like a giant LEGO set. It's now gone to a new owner, complete and running.

Welcome Mac! Great intro! You'll find a lot to learn about MV's here, and hopefully get to know a lot of interesting people. Many of us have gathered from around the world annually, and in fact will be gathering again in two weeks in Western North Carolina. You've bought a great bike. I have a Rivale which is a Stradale without the sidebags, and a few other differences. Make sure the battery that you have is EXTREMELY strong, and if it's a brand you're not familiar with, replace it with a GOOD battery. Many of MV's OEM batteries in 2014-2015 contributed to wear on the starting system's sprag clutch, resulting in a factory Technical Service Bulletin to replace parts on bike that developed starting problems.

As you know from your Vincent, all bikes have their oddities. MV's oddities are fairly predictable, and you'll get lots of support and knowledge here!

Yes please, photo of the Vincent please!
I'm 64, so not far behind you and I still love blasting around on my MV and recently acquired RS125!
Many guys my age seem to have trouble throwing their leg over a sports bike but I spent decades doing serious bodysurfing and am lucky to still have the flexibility to enjoy these bikes.
