It is near impossible to get the rearstand supplied by MV into the rear axle. The FG Gubellini (Italy) Stand for MV Agusta works amazingly well and allows lifting and lowering by one person without that person touching the bike. Available through www.redracingparts.com, Munroe Motors in San Francisco, F by F, and elsewhere.

The pitbull stands fit like butter as well, and the reversible arm model allows you to remove the sprocket also.

damn..i thought it was just me being stupid or something. I ended up sanding the plastic on the rearstand down a little and atleast now it works somewhat decent.
