flashing headlamp

I noticed the other night that my
headlamp would occasionally flash to high
beam. Anyone else experience this problem?
If so what was the remedy?

I think most have experienced this problem. When I first got mine people were getting really pissed at me

Seems like the problem is when the fan comes on it flashes the headlight for a split second

I just ride with the high beams on all the time...........

Ironically, while I've read about it it never happened to me. But about 4 months ago afterriding in a heavy rain, my headlight now dims for an instant when the fan kicks on, even when the throttle is on.

I once had a Honda CBR400RR that did that a lot. So much so that car drivers in front would start getting rather pissed at me. Turned out it was my reg/rec starting to go bad.

The first thing you need to know is: is it physically switching to high beam, in which case it's likely a switch problem, or is the light simply changing in power, in which case it's a power problem.
