why is does my F4 have F6 on the sticker?

so checking my 2010 F4 out the other day, and noticed on the MV sticker that sits on the frame below the handle bars that says year model etc, mine says F6 not F4??? just a miss print? ... not sure how a mistake like that could happen for legal reasons

Can't remember the details behind it, something to do with the manufacturing registration and homologation process. Duvall's 750 which I have here says F4, my 1000R says F5, I think some Brutale's are different again.
Nothing to worry about though.

Probably, its a "chassis" code. Like on European cars.

I was able to talk some of the works from MV and hb88xx is right about his statement.

f4= 750 range
f5= 1000-1078 range
f6= after 2010

So most likely its a early or late 2010 model.
