2006 Red Bull USGP, Who's going?

I am off from work that weekend (7/21-23) and I am thinking about going to the USGP since this might be the last time we could see Rossi racing motorcycle in the US... So I just wanted to get an idea:

How many of us are going?

Where are people staying?

Shall we organize an MV group rides to the GP?

and maybe a gathering @ the GP of the mvagusta.net ?

How many were there last summer? maybe you could post some opinions about hotel/campground accommodation, traffic, tips, etc..

Thanks.

I ll be there. I was at laguna seca the last 3 years. Long ride from san diego but its awesome. I have some friends that work at Yamaha and Honda and I crash with them.

Some of my other friends did the camping thing and they said it was fun but cold and you feel a little dirty but its camping.

I wish mv had a spot to park bikes like ducati island...

I will be there. Trailering bikes down and then ride our asses off. I would love to meet any or all of you guys/gals. I think we should organize a meeting place or something.
I'm staying at the Portola Hotel in Monterey. Last year they held some sort of auction/bike show there and it was spectacular.

As far as traffic goes...ride your bike to the track and go early. Did I say go early? On bikes you are able to ride on the shoulder of the road passing a lot of cars. The police officers watched us do it last year, while pulling some bikes over.

Personality is what you show of yourself daily.

Character is what comes out under adversity. (Think about that)

I'm there every year (WSB, and now MOTO GP).

I usually drive (~2hr drive for me). If people are bringing their MVs.. get a meet going maybe at a Cannery row spot?

Might consider riding. Was stuck in traffic for god who knows how long, but depends if I'm bringing some people down or not.

As ddnuts said, get there REAL EARLY. Riding definately gives you the advantage of shoulder + splitting. Cops just want you to be safe and not fill up the oncoming traffic lane. Stay in the right lane and you're OKAY.

Of course! is MV Agusta USA going to be at the GP? they can't let Ducati act like the big shot there , after all MV is the best Italian bike maker... maybe we should contact MV USA and see what they are going to do.

Cagiva had a booth last year showing the TM, the Munroe Motors race bike, and the 910. Not that big, and they also bundled up with Lotus ( i suppose they won't be doing that anymore... )

Too bad we don't have any Cagiva folks here, and if there are, speak up!
