Racing an SPR

Please tell me if 'm crazy! I road race in WMRRA and am seriously considering racing my SPR in 750 superbike and supersport. I have raced a Duc 998, Gsxr 1000, and 750, and this MV has more mechanical grip then anything I have ever been on. Will the RG3 be worth the cost for performance? What are the best brake pads for racing that will fit the factory Nissans?Suggestions?
Thx Ricardo

The only advice I can give is this: "Don't race any bike that you aren't willing to destroy". With that in mind good luck.

I agree with the above.

The best pads I've used are Vesrah, but what you really need to do is get new rotors. I don't have any direct experience on the MV with these, but on other bikes the Braketech ductile iron rotors work really great.

On the Vesrah pads, I think they are the same thing as the Buells use with the 6 piston caliper and single disc.

I would try to buy all the consumable parts you need before you start, like maybe a clutch or two, sprockets, whatever else you must get from an MV dealer...

Should make a great race bike if you can deal with the regular race bike maintenance stuff.
