Sorry, I don't remember offhand. I always just lay them next to each other. I've also found that I have always used the exact same number of links as the previous chain. Since you are talking chain replacement may I suggest you also replace both sprockets if you weren't already planning on doing so. I wrote up a quick countershaft sprocket replacement:

I've always had to replace the set due to rear sprocket wear rather than countershaft or chain.

James...I'm getting ready to do the high-end RK gold chain and rear sproket +2....do you know what the high end setup of choice is? STM? I like the NCR billet rear cush clamp, but they don't make an MV would like all billet back there???

If anyone can post some good links and/or pics of rear sprocket kit......

Hi Guys,

When I moved to a quick change STM was in very very very short supply and didn't have the 43t I wanted. I use the FBF set.

Talon UK also have a set on offer but it wouldn't be my first choice from the US.

Probably: Performance parts -> STM -> FBF -> Talon.

Under MV select: Kettenräder

You can email in English to order. Sorry I can't remember coming across anything in black.
