I actually teared up. I love motorsports in general and I realize I should be in racing in some form or another, but Im sorta stuck in the oilfields instead. It would be awesome making a living doing something I am passionate about.

traction control?
how you set the lockup clutch, your left foot and your right foot

10 times the HP of an F1 car......

Cool Noel. I didnt know Russ had a blowover, I knew Garlits did one and motored back towards the start line. I remember Russ on the Nitro bikes. I have been going to NHRA races for many yrs now. I recently took my 13 Mustang to the track and on stock 235 rear tires, ran a best of 12.8 @112 spinning bad in 1st and 2nd. Cant get my 60' down with those stock Pirelli's.

Wink spinning?

Daryl;
start in 2nd
lower your tire pressure
do a good burn out

in 1st you're 12.11:1
in 2nd you're 8.04:1

you're making about the same HP as a '67 396/425HP Chevelle, with a 2.20 1st and 4.11 they were 9.11:1
their speed was about the same (HP) but they were quicker and lighter my '66 El Camino weighs 3215 with a big block in it

Russ Jr won 2 NHRA National Titles on bikes i built, i didn't do the motors

I actually thought of 2nd gear starts, but I would imagine the stock clutch would go bye bye. I am gonna stick some better tires on it and have a set of drag radials to stick on it for the strip. It will run high 11's with just some good tires.
