Even cops like MV`s

Returning home from north island to Tas yesterday and get pulled over near home.I was in my ute with my Brutale in the back and coppers first words were "hey that`s a nice bike",at which point I thought I`m going to get let off again. Next line out of his mouth was "94 in an 80 zone is a bit too quick". Bugger, $110 and 2 points(oh well once every couple of years aint so bad). No lecture or bullshit just sent on my way with the parting line of "look after that bike mate". Gotta love Tassie cops. Glad he didn`t see me riding a few days earlier.

You got stopped for 94 in an 80? I wouldn't even put down the coffee for less than 20 over.

That reminds me of a similar incident last year. I was doing ~95 in an 80 zone in the middle of the night. It doesn“t really get dark here in the summer, and the road was all empty. Suddenly I saw blue lights flashing and got pulled over.
After the initial remark about my speed the conversation turned to a completely different topic. "Hey, Brembo brakes! Stops well, doesnt it?" "How does it handle?".
They just told me to take it easy before walking back to their car. Never heard about them ever since

It's all about safety! The community needs protection from us bikies that run around terrorising the locals by exceeding the speed limit.

In the era when I owned a Hayabusa, I received a letter from Warwickshire Constabulary Safety Camera Unit.

I thought my God I'm going to HM Prison Winson Green.

I opened the envelope real slow..My poor lil ticker almost jumping outa my chest..I tread your vehicle was observed by safety camera blah blah and has broken the speed limit blah blah on such and such a date blah blah..Registration KU02 TNZ.....I did utter the words Thank the Lord ...It was my good old pickup truck..and not the Busa...I NEVER speed in the pickup. I'm working . For God's sake I don't care enough to speed for work !!
It was lunch time on an industrial area,,on a down slope ..The guy was hiding behind a sandwich truck and caught me doing a whopping 33mph in a 30 mph zone.
In the event I had to do a speed course and got no points but I had to cough up £ 60.00. The speedp needle is 3mph wide !

It wasn't long after that I ditched the Busa. I reckoned if you get caught then the authorities really do come to get you.
