LA Observations

I've been stuck in LA (Orange County to be true) all week on business. My observations:

Driving is much like a third world country, marked lanes and rules of the road don't mean much.

I see fewer bikes than I expected, much less than on any given day in the greater Phoenix area.

The bikes I do see are generally doing things that give bikers a bad image.
i.e. splitting lanes when traffic is already moving at 65mph+. Flipping me off because I didn't see an motorcycle approaching at ~75mph in a 45 mph boulevard at dusk...and he had race bodywork - no lights!

On the plus side, I visited Spectrum Ducati/Aprilia. Nice inventory including some used MV's. Obviously some of that OC $$ is put into trendy Duc's that are later sold to make room in the garage for the latest trend.

In what part of OC are you? There's a night/day difference between, say, Santa Ana and Newport Beach.

True. I'm in Irvine, working in various places from San Juan Capistrano to Santa Ana.
