q: need help with vin number

can someone with a 2004 f4 1000 send me their vin number? i want to compare it with the vin on a used bike i might make an offer on.

or better yet, point me to a vin decoder for MV!

i just want to make sure the vin of the bike i'm looking at is legitimate.

thanks,

ZCGF511BB5Y002***

According to user manual...

ZGC = Manufacturers letter code

F5 = Model number

BB5Y = Year of manufcture?

002*** = progressive vehicle number

So my guess is...

Cagiva; F41000;2005;002*** (unit #)

Here is an edited version. Happy to stand corrected, and have gaps filled in. Some info for the FAQ when complete.
