Those tanks are works of art. I don't know why they don't do them for the F4.

Yes, beautiful tank! Can you massage out the minor dents? Maybe apply heat and burnish from the inside?

Not to sure, i purchased this tank and it was in a semi rough state, but I managed to clean it up quite a bit from where it was. Thankfully any dents and dings, are in areas where it will be painted. Looking to do a 2017 F3 RC paintjob with it, and my track bodywork. on the gas tank i will leave exposed aluminum where the white would be.

Why not use the 2016 as a guide, but one thing that would be difficult to replicate would be the personally signed signature of Giacomo Agostini on the tank cover

Verry nice! I just like the 2017 upper number board better although both are very nice designs. The 2016 does have the nice AMG on the upper, and having an SL 55 AMG in the garage, that on the bike would be cool.

Spent the afternoon playing with F4 RC and ECU Studio 😁

Tomorrow plan to see if I can tell the difference between the RC ROM and the RR ROM when fitted to my F4. Copied my tune into the RC ROM, want to see if the control etc is any different. Will be difficult to tell on the road, but we have some awesome roads here a good mix of tight twists and fast exits 😁😁😁

Swapped my RAM single ball for a double ball mount to be able to run phone and GoPro in tandem (thanks @M Squared for the idea!). Also removed the passenger pegs, finalizing as much of a tail-tidy as I’m going to do (I’m not one for the bee stinger look) — that only took an hour at Home Depot finding the right replacement bolts. Lastly, one final picture of the bumped-up Carbonworld rear seat cover — couldn’t be happier with how it looks. TBD still if it gets painted or left as raw CF.

@über cannot stress this enough... ACE hardware for bolts!!! Rows upon glorious rows of everything you need (well mostly)

Finally installed the MV Corse HID kit in the F3. Looks good, was a bit of a PITA to install and tuck the wires.
Although I will say the kit itself is very self contained. All you do is plug the existing bulb 3 prong to the kit, and that's it. No leads to the battery or anything like I've seen with other kits on past bikes.

Cut/epoxy'ed a slit in the twist cover for the bulb to insert the wires. applied a very unpretty amount of aquarium silicone to the hole to prevent water ingress.

If you perma-click the Hi beam (incandescent), the low (HID) cuts off. The flicker switch keeps both on. I was a bit let down that the high beam was incandescent. I don't ride with it on, but still it'll have a much shorter lifespan than the HID.

My garage once again ate a bolt, even with putting them all in a cup somehow.

Also reinstalled my painted pegs. Paint is shit and is going to rub off, so it'll have to get powdercoated/cerekoted. If anyone ever recommends VHT manifold paint to you. Slap the taste out of their mouth. It is still sticky to the touch after 10 days curing in the garage. fml.
