I misunderstood. Now I see what you mean. If the battery is placed in an upright position, I see that it is possible to connect the opposite of what is right.

Mounted flip up levers on the Turismo Veloce and on my wife's Street Triple.
Initially thought it was not required with the handguards, but following a side drop, the clutch lever broke (2cms from its extremity, which means it was still usable), and according to some participants of Facebook group dedicated to Turismo Veloce, even with the handguards it happens quite often they broke, specially on the right side (when the bike falls, the handguard move up on the right side): I had flip up levers on the Monster before, and it was clearly a saver at some point...
