The multi is ugly but is FAR from the worst Ducati ever...

The modern SS and ST were no beauty queens either ...

IMHO - Terblahhh wasn't the worst, but certainly was one of the worst.

I think Tamburini said it best when he simply said "Terblanche does not know how to combine 'style' and 'function' together as one".

Supermono - Tamburini held his hand (from what I understand)

Gran Canyon - His first real venture. Have you ever worked on one? Ever tried to adust the valves on the vertical cylinder? Pure crap.

MH900e - Copy of old Ducati - worked over lines - not real tough. 2 gallon tank (remember what Tamburini said of him - style, function).

999 - Ugliest Ducati superbike made. Have you ever worked on one?Ugh.

Multistrada - Turning windshield

Sport Classics - Once again - copy cats with worked over lines.

Hypermotard - probably the coolest design he pen'd, but nothing really special.

The day Ducati made Terblahhh the head designer was a sad day. Hopefully it won't be as bad for Norton.

I haven't bought a Ducati since my '95 916 (which I still own), except for the MH. I sold that because I couldn't ride over 75 miles without running out of gas (style, function quote).

TERBLAH

We all have opinions..... These are my simple observations.

Really, have you not seen the current CBR1000, the current R1, the BMW S1000RR, the KTM RC8, the newest Hayabusa (possibly the king of uglyness), the Kawi Z1000, the Suzuki Gladio...... shall I go on? None of those were designed by Terblanche but man - are those bikes disgusting!!

+100, see my previous post.

Ugliest Ducati Superbike-yes. But still better than all competition except for MV

Still own my 95 916 too. Can't beat that bike for design AND functionality!!

Wow. Until now, I had no idea Norton still made bikes.

I remember the Nemesis bike a few years ago but thought Norton died when the Nemesis was still born.

I'll bet that if Norton would come out with a "street" Manx replica they'd sell like hotcakes. I know I'd buy one in a flash.

are you lumping the Gladius in there???

Don't want to hurt any feelings but I think it's a direct copy of the Brutale
Now, is that design ugly or beautiful?

I am throwing the Gladius in there because it is a horrific copy of the Brutie. Look at the hiddeous foot peg bracketry, the odd shaped fuel tank, the monstrosity of an exhaust,.....

It looks like a cheapo Chinese toy version of a Brutale.

Ducati has done very well in that arena IMHO. Unlike the crap looking bikes theJapanese or even the Germans and Austrians put out on the market.
You have got to be kidding Crash :-)
Does the fact that you could sell the same product for 10+ years without adjustment and still be labeled the most desirable not say anything about design??
But you know, you said you kind of like the 999, so to each his own. Somebody has to take the grenade for the team :-) Thanks Bro
