Grrrrrrrr.. I want to ride!!!

Nearly a month since my F4's rad cracked. I spent 2 weeks waiting for the bike to be picked up by the dealers, 2 weeks on they've not looked at it, and now they're telling me they're still waiting to talk to MotoGB about the replacement part.... Grrrr

Summer's short and sweet, and I'm missing it!!!

I knew MV ownership would evoke deep passion and emotion, but I didn't think fury would be one of them.

I wanted to have it in the hands of Chris @ X-bikes for an ECU and some tuning by now!

(Sorry, but I needed to vent with people who might understand)

I feel you mate

Also had a problem with the F4, took the guys 3 months to get it fixed (during summertime), after 2 months I was getting almost furious.

Don't worry, it will get fixed someday

Dude i get it, my bike has been away for almost 5 weeks, i know when i get the call the weather will turn within minutes to pissy cold rain again, i console myself with the fact it will be like riding a completely different bike

Right, time to take matters into my own hands. Found a 2nd hand rad. Going to do what I've always done and fix it myself.

This is why I never use dealers.

Hey Lucky, I definitely feel for you mate!! - but just imagine us down here in NZ....enquiries on parts with estimated delivery dates are 3+ months

I never use the dealers for parts....I use my mechanic and source the parts from the forum or sponsors - the service from the guys here is outstanding (not too mention far quicker and you get what you want). I then provide parts to my mechanic. (he's now converted and advises other MV guys on the best approach)

You need a backup bike - like a nice reliable Brutale

Dealers and ordering parts don't mix. In fact generally ordering anything is a risk of 'when will i get it'. I have all the inside goss on this sort of thing.

Diary, Week 6: it's getting bad...

Oh good grief. This is more frustrating than being a teenager in a room full of hotties.. I WANT MY MV BACK!

I want to stroke it, wax it, and to ride it like a hooligan. I want to pin the throttle and feel the rear scrabbling for grip as it spins the world backwards. I want to scare old ladies with the exhausts, and make fathers cover the their daughters eyes from it's hot sexyness. I want to see the sun glint off its curves, and feel the sharp growl of the valves as they thrash wildly below my chin. I want to blow precious petrochemicals into the air in vast noxious clouds, whilst I blast through the countryside on some helbent pleasure-mission. I want to ride that bike... (and not the two others I've got in the garage)

Please mister, I want my bike back.

(maybe I should just go buy another one)
