God the wait is killing me!!!

So I bought the bike last week from four pipes who is an outstanding guy. He had a lien on the bike so when i gave him the check it took 3 days to clear the check and now i have to wait 2 or so weeks for the lien release till i can register her and ride her. for now shes a garage queen. It supposed to be upper 70s on wed and thurs and its gonna hurt seeing her sit there begging to be ridin' hard.

Picking up the bike was quite the adventure. left Illinois last Saturday night at about 11pm and drove all the way to Long Island, New York to get her. Ran over a possum about the size of a dog, lost a trailer light, got lost in the bronx, bearings kept coming loose on the trailer, amongst other things.

Got the bike on the trailer and went to a Hampton Inn to sleep being i was awake for 18 hours, most driving. There was some dude staring at my bike in the front and talking on his phone. Said a few things that scared me so i had to make some tough decisions. Paid $130 for the room and didnt want to leave the bike alone after hearing those dudes talk so my friend slept in the room and i slept in the car all night to make sure the bike didnt get jacked . Most likely nothing would have happened but i wasnt about to risk coming out in the morning and finding her gone before i even rode her.

Woke up and left and the ride back was uneventful other than of the 18 hour drive it rained about 14 of it. my brand new baby was covered in rain, oil, and dirt. It was a scary ride back being i didnt want her falling off the trailer but it was a gorgeous site looking in my mirror and seeing her staring back at me.

So now i have to wait and every day is agony.

haha..Congrats to you buddy!!
I think I would sleep in the truck as well to make sure that my baby didn't get jacket.

And I know what you mean by looking in the rear-view mirror and seeing your beauty.

I did the same thing when I was picking my baby up...only I think I stared more at the rear-view mirror than I did at the road lol

Do you have a bill of sale showing the date you bought it? If so,i'd go ahead and ride it...you have proof its yours and you usually have up to 30days to register it in most states after purchase!

Called the DOT and they said nope. she said i could just transfer the old lien to my new title and when i get the release i could just get a new title made. so i went to the DMV and she said if there is a balance on the lien then i would also have to pay sales tax on the balance. so yeah, thats not gonna happen. waiting again.

Glad it worked out! I don't think you'll see this post for awhile because you will be out riding!

LOL! A group of us stayed in some crappy little place on a long ride once.. didnt like the look of the place or the surroundings. Took me about 10 seconds to realise that the bike would fit thru the room door....
