Question WSBK...Where is MV??

Hey guys.
I've been watching MotoGP & Formula F1 last season, and this season is my first time watching World Super Bike, and I was shocked seeing so many Ducati's there and I was wondering what ever happened to MV Agusta??

How come MV doesn't participate in any races?
I'm sure if they did they would sell better and it would advertise their name much more!??

You guys think they might bring the new 2010 F4 into the SBK next season??

~Serge~

I guess the cost of having a team with full factory support is to much, but in the future i hope they will make it there I mean Mv have a strong racing history, they should be racing

No races for MV AGUSTA this year. The new F4 is not approwed (No omologate) for races.
It seems that will be a special F4 for races in future but....in future...

Key issue is costs, MV's attitude is that they can't show up and just run around at the back of the field, and they don't have the finances to run up front, so they're better off simply not running (In SBK that is) They did spend a little to run in the AMA's Natl Championship a few years back and didn't do so well, they had decent results in World Super Stock (or Super Sport, can't remember which for certain) which are support series run & sanctioned by SBK in "World Superbike" and have done well in various Italian championships. To run up front in SBK it takes many millions of dollars, the right bikes and a couple of years. MV doesn't have the budget, the bikes remain a tad heavy, so it will really depend on new partners or ownership more than anything else.

Hope that the prillers can beat mr Haslam on his Gixxer
So the italians rules , but i think that Toseland&Co will be joining the battle once the R1 is going smooth

i think that before thinking in races in MV they need to think about a definitive owner.
If BMW buys MV i doubt they'll put another racing team as BMW already participate officially in SBK with the 1000RR.

SUZUKI RG250 - YAMAHA RD 350 - YAMAHA RD 500 - SUZUKI RG 500 - SUZUKI GSXR 1100 - KAWASAKI ZXR 750 - DUCATI 851S - DUCATI 888 SP4 - MV AGUSTA F4 1000S
