dented tank horror

Oh the horror, riding my 2008 312r with my friends at a stop to get a drink.
My friend drops his bike (2006 zx10r) and dents my tank!
Is it true that my tank is aluminum and not repairable
and if it is why would a magnet stick to it?
Any help ?

Can be easy repaired too as there is access!!

But I would want a new one personally.

Is he telling you a new tank is $1100?

Where is the dent and how bad is it?

Does the dealer's name have the letters G and C in the name?

I would think your friends insurance policy would cover it under the collision section.

I'm sure CAG will have a spare for you. Or at those prices maybe upgrade to a Carbon tank?? He might have one of those as well
