Berlusconi interest in MV?

http://www.motociclismo.it/mv-agusta...lip-berlusconi

Italian to English translationShow romanization
Milan March 16, 2010 - The family of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi could be interested in the house Schiranna. The name of Paul, the brother of the Prime Minister, is increasingly mentioned in the rumors regarding the sale of MV Agusta. Paolo Berlusconi has interests in the world of cycling because of the mark Garelli. With this historic logo are marketed scooters that are designed and conceived in the line and technique in our country, but engineered and built, at least for now, China. Garelli's next step is to assemble them directly to Europe. Of course it would be really good news, after months of uncertainty over the fate of the MV Agusta. Harley-Davidson Recall that closed last year will definitely Buell, without bothering to find possible buyers for what was one of the most innovative homes around the landscape of cycling.

At least they have plenty of money, and MV would be 100% made and owned in Italy

Owned, yes, but not necessarily manufactured- read the bit about Garelli again!

Ideally, MV will be purchased by someone who is actually into bikes!- suddenly, CC looks like our Guardian Angel again!!!

The older I get, the faster I was!

Glad it is a rumor and hope it remains that way...MV needs a forward thinking stout individual or group with semi deep pockets, motor co (bike or car) experience, passion and a true desire & know how to grow the brand, while maintaining it's halo, heritage and quality. Someone buying the company on the cheap, or simply based on enthusiasm will probably be the second to last nail in the coffin
